Since 2010, the NHS has received more funding every year. There are some petty “experts” among us, those enlightenment values atheist* types, who like to skew this known fact. They whine and nag about “focusing on the data” – but that doesn’t change the fact that since 2010, the NHS has received more funding each and every year. If you don’t believe me, just look at this chart.
Yes, you read that right, more. Not less. More! End of.
Wes Streeting was in one of the red-tops today on “Victorian poverty”. Again, despite the NHS receiving more – and I’m sorry but I don’t feel the message is getting through to you – more money. More money each and every year since 2010.
Which brings us to the strike action. I really do take issue with Mr Streeting engaging in publicity stunts like these, when he should be condemning striking workers who are putting patients life at risk. Wes should instead be coming to the table to engage with the Tories on improving the NHS. That’s all Labour’s good for these days, moaning, rather than engaging. The NHS’ budget is way bigger than it was in 1997. What does that tell you? Please refer to my earlier point.
And for the record, I’m a nurse, ok? So, let that be a lesson to you lefties, who assumed this was written by a woke builder writing for the Guardian. So please, if you see Wes, let him know my story. That I’m a struggling nurse who is going to be left out of pocket because the RMT refuse to do the French thing and simply leave the barriers up so it hurts the bosses, not the public.
I’m going to be out of pocket this coming week as I have to taxi it to work, ie hospital. Please let Wes Streeting know, he owes me £50.
